Merit Electronics Test Capabilities 

• Decapsulation of plastic integrated circuits with a Nisene JetEtch Acid Decapsulation Machine; Die photography taken with a metallurgical microscope after decapsulation

• Able to perform electrical pin print tests with the Abi Sentry Counterfeit Detector (Currently up to 44-Pin Dual-In-Line; 20, 28, 32, 44, 52, 68 and 84 pin plastic leaded chip carrier; up to 44 pin small-outline integrated circuit) 

• Electrical pin prints can be compared to a customer supplied gold sample or to each other, within the same lot/date code 

• Measurement of inductors, capacitors, and resistors electrical properties with our BK Precision LCR/ESR Meter with Component Tester

• Marking permanency testing with acetone and/or Dynasol 

• Visual Inspection and photography of inspected component by trained personnel with use of Motic SMZ-143 Stereoscopic Microscopes and available Dino-Lite AM413T Digital microscopes

• X-ray inspection capability of components with the Creative Electron TruView 180-3HD; Capability of full inspection of tape and reeled items. 

• X-ray fluorescence analysis with attached TruView 180-3HD attached XRF module (Detection of lead, XRF wavelength graph created for comparison with gold sample or to product in same lot/date code) 

• Solderability testing of components by utilization of the Dip and Look Method
